The holidays are approaching and the members of St. Peter’s Church of Riverview have to choose – spend Christmas Eve with some local orphans or hold their traditional celebrations. While many members are generous with material gifts, sacrificing their time is quite another matter. Add a famous New York talent agent looking to audition the two best singers in the congregation, and soon competing desires threaten to tear apart any plans for a harmonious Christmas celebration.
Set in the 1940s, this play beautifully reveals its characters’ choices and convictions, as they move toward what Christmas is ultimately all about – compassion and hope.

BLP Youth Choir
NEW BLP Youth Choir forming!
Bright Life Players would love to organize a youth choir consisting of kids ages 7-14! We would currently like to have this group sing at the Pre Show for our upcoming play, The Hope Cradle! We will be singing 3-4 Christmas themed songs and include some creative movement and choreography!
In the future we hope to have this group sing at area senior living homes, parties and any public opportunities the Lord provides for us.
Requirements:
– Each youth will need to audition – They MUST be able to sing the melody correctly and stay on pitch
– Parents will be asked to assist in keeping the kids on good behavior from time to time during rehearsals
– Parents will be asked to help publicize events where choir will perform

This is not a musical though we’ll include some Christmas music throughout the show. We will also spotlight a Children’s Choir for the Pre-show. There is a separate Audition form to fill out for the Choir!

Audition dates are December 27, Thursday 6pm-8pm and December 29, Saturday, 10am-noon. Location First Church of God, 1953 Akron Road, Wooster, OH 44691

Auditions open to everyone; no appointment needed
Age Range – Main Characters, Adult male & female: (16 and up)
Supporting cast (group dancing and singing)
Cast size is flexible: 5 main and 12 supporting roles plus Ensemble
You will be asked to read from the script and sing a hymn or 32 measures of musical theater song (bring your own accompaniment file or your own accompanist) Bluetooth speaker provided (Accompanist Not Provided)
